Slovakia
The Embassy of Slovakia hosted a reception at the mission on Sept. 22 to mark the country’s National Day.
Indonesia
Indonesian Ambassador Dienne Hardianti Moehario hosted a reception at the residence on Sept. 23 for the 65th anniversary of the country’s independence.
Chile
The Chilean Embassy hosted a lively party at the residence in Rockcliffe Park on Sept. 21 to commemorate the bicentennial anniversary of the country’s independence.
Saudi Arabia
The Embassy of Saudi Arabia hosted a reception on Sept. 23 at the Hilton Lac-Leamy Hotel to mark the country’s National Day.
Mali
The Embassy of Mali hosted a reception on Sept. 22 at the residence in honour of the country’s Independence Day.

Afghanistan
To commemorate the 91st anniversary of Afghanistan’s independence, Ambassador Jawed Ludin and his wife Zuhra Ludin hosted an exhibition of contemporary art from the country at the Delegation of the Ismaili Imamat on Sept. 16.
Algeria
Algerian Ambassador Smail Benamara held a luncheon at the chancellery on Sept. 14 to mark a visit by Algerian Energy and Mines Minister Youcef Yousfi.
CFUW
The Canadian Federation of University Women’s diplomatic hospitality group hosted a welcoming coffee party on Sept. 17 at the Richelieu-Vanier Community Centre.

Mexican Ambassador Françisco Barrio hosted what may have been the party of the year at the Canadian Museum of Civilization to mark his country’s 200th year of independence.
Norway
The ambassador of Norway hosted a reception on Sept. 15 at the residence in honour of the Norwegian Parliament’s Standing Committee on Education, Research and Church Affairs’ visit to Canada.
