The 7th annual Baltic Film Festival opened March 15 at the National Library with the Estonian film Fed Up!. Films from Latvia and Lithuania were screened over the weekend.
St. Urho’s Feast
On March 16, Finns and Finnish Canadians in Canada celebrated the feast of St. Urho, a mythical saint who drove the grasshoppers from Finland, saving the country’s wine industry, with a dinner sponsored by the Canadian Friends of Finland.
