Christmas Party
The Diplomatic Hospitality Group hosted its Christmas lunch on Dec. 7. The event was filled with songs in many languages, Christmas carols and a Romanian dance.

A Hanukkah party took place on Parliament Hill on Dec. 10, with MPs celebrating with rabbis and the Jewish community.
St. Lucia
A youth choir sang traditional carols at the Swedish ambassador’s St. Lucia reception on Dec. 13.

All the Latin American embassies got together to host a Christmas concert and party on Dec. 13.

When the head of Le Cordon Bleu called to say he’s coming to town and he wants a party, the Le Cordon Bleu’s Ottawa staffed jumped into action, throwing a reception on Dec. 6 for him and Le Cordon Bleu staff from around the world who were in Ottawa this week for a meeting.

MPs wearing “Happi” coats took up mallets in a tradition ceremony “Kagami Biraki,” opening the lid of the sake barrel at Japan’s emperor’s birthday reception on Dec. 4.
