Is a national agriculture strategy feasible?

The Canadian Federation of Agriculture has achieved much success with its new movement. But critics say the industry is trying to have it both ways.

Canada is being increasingly dragged into the global food paradox.

Canada was the fifth-largest food exporter in the world last year, with nearly $35.2 billion in product, according to Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. This is made possible by a large thinly-populated landmass with loads of farmland and oceans, as well as a unique ecosystem that allows for the growing and harvesting of top-quality products....
