Rwanda Welcomes War Crimes Conviction, Wants Extraditions

But Ambassador Edda Mukabagwiza says her country wants suspected criminals tried back home as the fate of future trials remains in doubt.

When Canada passed its war crimes legislation in 2000, there was great hope the courts of this country would finally be able to prosecute the many alleged war criminals that had taken refuge within its borders.
