It was supposed to be an easy victory. Six times in a row Canada had won, securing a seat once every decade at the world's most important table, the UN Security Council.
Of course, that was before Portugal swept in. The same small European nation that carried massive amounts of debt and boasted a list of UN accomplishments not half as impressive as those from Canada.
