Real Kurdistan, as Seen by Iraq's 'Lone Tourist'

Having just returned from Kurdistan as the "lone tourist" featured in the New York Times on Sept. 21, I was disappointed to read Scott Taylor's article (RE: "The Many Kurdish Complications in Iraq," Oct. 22). Mr. Taylor's views are further evidence of the Western misunderstanding so prevalent in the media and foreign policy debate. Those who have experienced Kurdistan know that the western media have missed the real story of success achieved....
