Diplomats decry Canada's Kyoto wavering

Brazil, India, and Germany all favour Kyoto over withdrawal.

Members of Ottawa's diplomatic community say they are concerned about Canada's lack of effort in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and of the latest buzz that the country may withdraw from the only legally binding international climate treaty under the UN.

Environment Minister Peter Kent announced on Dec. 6 that Canada would stay in Kyoto at least until the end of the United Nations climate change conference...
