Kandahar Aid Focus Detrimental: Officials

This past March, a group of Afghan officials, including two former foreign ministers, arrived in Dubai for a meeting initiated by Zalmay Khalilzad, former U.S. ambassador to the UN and Afghanistan. While the conference was intended to look at the overall situation in Afghanistan and suggest solutions, the participants made one important point in regard to Western involvement.
