Economic Woes, Competition Don't Keep Foreign Students Away—Yet

Promotional campaigns and immigration incentives are keeping Canada in the game.

Despite mounting competition, Canada managed to attract nearly 80,000 foreign students to the country's post-secondary institutions last year, the highest numbers seen in a decade.

This, international education experts agreed, is thanks to increased promotional efforts overseas and changes to immigration regulations which make it easier for foreign students to work in and immigrate to Canada.
