Getting gouged on the exchange rate

The US price of the paperback edition of Howard Jacobson's prize-winning The Finkler Question is US$15. The Canadian price of the same book, printed in the US and imported into Canada, is $18.50, a huge difference even taking into account paperwork at the border.

Assuming an exchange rate of 98 US cents to our dollar, the Canadian price would be about C$15.32 if the price was the same here as is...
