Envisioning a future beset by "continuous wars amongst the people," the Canadian Army has published a new Counter-Insurgency Operations Manual to guide soldiers through complex and amorphous conflicts like Afghanistan.

Published by Army commander Lt.-Gen. Andrew Leslie's office, the manual lays out strategies and tactics for a new type of warfare that has arisen since the close of the Cold War.
