Civilians in Afghanistan prepare for military pull-out

Concern remains over a diplomat hurt in a convoy bombing, but DFAIT and NGOs don't plan any security changes.

The past decade saw Canada take a leading role in the NATO mission in Afghanistan. With that came large numbers of soldiers, diplomats and government aid workers deployed into a hostile theatre.

Even though there have been few civilian Canadian casualties associated with the mission, an IED attack last month seriously injured Bushra Saeed, a 25-year-old political officer from the Afghanistan Task Force....
