CIDA Shift Married with Foreign Policy Priorities: Oda

Bev Oda says Canada is simply following other countries in focusing on regions of national concern.

CIDA Minister Bev Oda has confirmed foreign policy considerations and regional concerns played a role in how the government compiled its new list of focus countries for Canadian bilateral aid.

The minister also warned that the list will be subject to constant revision, though any changes will now need to be approved by Cabinet.
