Ottawa Swept Up by Obama's Whirlwind Visit

Even before Air Force One and its presidential cargo left Washington, hundreds of Obamamaniacs had already descended on Parliament Hill, patiently waiting for a glimpse of the man himself.

Upon arrival at the airport's Canadian Reception Centre, the first black president had a jolly and longer-than-scheduled 20-minute chat with Canada's first black governor general, Michaëlle Jean.
