Canada Snubs New Renewable Energy Agency
Global support growing, with 50 countries on board, but Canada is staying on the sidelines saying it already belongs to enough renewable energy organizations.Some fifty countries have signed up to join a new international organization aimed at spreading renewable energy technology around the world, but for now at least, Canada is sitting on the sidelines.
The decision not to join has left veteran diplomats mystified, while environmentalists and opposition politicians say this is just one more example of the Conservative government's lax environmental policy....
