After 10 years, time to get serious in Afghanistan

The Bonn 2 international conference on Afghanistan, held Dec. 5, concluded with a joint announcement of Afghanistan and the international community on "Transition to Transformation Decade"—another decade that will require financial and military support beyond 2014, the year for the planned withdrawal of American and international forces.
