Weariness and Common Sense Have Toned Down the Anti-Bush Rhetoric, for the Moment

Canadian anti-Americanism is on the decline, according to Fred McMahon, director of the Fraser Institute's Centre for Globalization. The days of Carolyn Parrish's "anti-American rants" are over, he says, and Canada and its government are taking a more mature approach to U.S. relations. A byproduct of that, he suggests, is a move toward greater military co-operation with the U.S., say, over missile defence.
