Concerns over a Canadian mining company's activities in the Philippines are raised in a house subcommittee

The March 23 meeting of the Subcommittee on Human Rights and International Development's main agenda item was a report on the activities of the Canadian mining company TVI Pacific, Inc. in the Philippines. Witnesses had traveled from Manila in order to testify before the committee, and waited silently to make their statements.
