Canada's Foreign Affairs Minister, Pierre Pettigrew recently announced 27 new appointments to Canada's overseas missions. Of those, seven women are on the list of new ambassadors, high commissioners and consuls general. Some are veteran heads of mission, while others are looking forward to the exciting new challenge.
