Bounding up the front steps of the National Library and Archives on the opening night of the Canada Europa Festival, Yiorgos Chouliaras shows no sign of having gone without sleep for the better part of a week. Upon his arrival, old friends and well-wishers rush to embrace the renowned poet and essayist, who was an integral presence on Ottawa's cultural scene during his years as the Greek embassy's press officer.
