Retiring, but not shy, a Foreign Service Officer speaks out

Norman Lomow retired last month because he'd had enough.

Government restructuring shuffled him to the professional Foreign Service from the former Department of Industry, Trade and Commerce over two decades ago. It was a redeployment that he reluctantly accepted, but would later earn him esteem as the Senior Trade Commissioner in Milan, Italy, (1992-1996), and San Francisco, California (1998-2001)....
