Gottfried Haffner departed from Ottawa on July 28 after completing his four year term was Counsellor and Consul at the Austrian embassy. Prior to joining the Political section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1974, Mr. Haffner worked in the export credit department at the Girozentrale Bank in Vienna.
