 | No health plan is peerfct. There are NO guarantees in life where humans and their relationship to their environment (including emotional well-being of the people around them, diet, activity, moods and effectiveness of medications, Doctors' knowledge reliability, etc)What I can say with absolute conviction, is that being dropped off a health plan for being 19 and NOT in school is wrong. Most companies do not provide health care. My friend works for an insurance company of all things, AND they won't hire full-time so benefits are not included on a 35 hour/week job.Is Nothing for everyone better than something?. |

| The main problem with Moore is he astlbs the US system b/c we have to get permission from insurance agencies to have major procedures done on us. What he doesn't tell you is the same thing happens in Europe and Canada, only its the Government that is giving permission. Universal Health Care isn't FREE heath care, money is still spent on doctors and equipment, and the money has to come from somehwere, and thats in higher taxes. Basically its a Government run insurance program which still has to approve procedures and they will not pay for experimental or risky treatments, and when it comes to my health, I trust the private sector to do a better and more efficient job than the government. It is just as easy to find horror stories in Europe of people waiting years to have a procedure approved by the Government, or not getting the life saving procedure in time or not at all.The real Irony is that Moore HATES the US government, yet wants to trust them with this responsibility. |
