How about creating a "black list" of nannies who come to Canada in bad faith? All those who dump their employer (who has spent thousands to get them here) and move to another employer without any consequences? What about those that misbehave so that the employer will be forced to fire them, and then collect EI while they wait to join their new employer? How about some safeguards for the employers?

Just so you know, a lot of employers are looking for Filipino caregivers as we are very good in taking care of their children and their elders! We definitely understand English as it is our second language back home! What's yours?! Anyway, my point is we have all the knowledge and a big HEART to do the job!

There are LOTS of people still under the live-in caregiver program looking for work. Most of them do NOT have the skills, aptitude and knowledge for these positions.
Europe is in crisis with the economy. Make it easier for English speaking, well-trained individuals from Europe to come and help out with our shortage.
